Accountant

Job Title: Financial Accountant (Full-time)

Location: Hurghada, Sharm ElSheikh

Reporting to: Accounting Manager

Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries
Post to the general ledger
Manage all accounting transactions
Prepare budget forecasts
Publish financial statements in a timely manner
Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Ensure timely bank payments
Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
Prepare balance sheets and financial statements
Report on the financial position of the facility and liquidity
Audit financial transactions and documents
Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
Comply with financial policies and regulations
Assist with payroll administration
Reconcile bank accounts
Review and process expense reports
Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process
Maintain the accounting system according to financial rules and regulations
Organize and prepare employees’ files, handling human resources tasks

Requirements and Skills

Work experience as an Accountant
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Hands-on experience with accounting software
Proficiency in MS Excel in a professional manner
Experience with general ledger functions
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant degree
Willingness to travel as required by the job.
