In relation to the attached letter and the Ministry’s instructions on Law No. 19 of 2022 on the establishment of the "Tourism and Antiquities Support Fund", and Article 7 of the law stating “that an annual fee will be applicable for obtaining digital services and training programs” as follows:
“That hotel establishments of all categories shall pay a fee of 1% of the price of an individual’s stay per night, with a minimum of 5 Egyptian pounds and a maximum of 50 Egyptian pounds, and a total amount not exceeding 100,000 Egyptian pounds per establishment.”
Accordingly, the Minister of Tourism issued Decree No. 79 of 2023 on February 26, 2023, stipulating the following fee percentages:
- Safari boats (overnight stay): 1% of the price of a person’s stay per night, with a minimum of 5 Egyptian pounds and a maximum of 50 Egyptian pounds.
- Diving centers: 10,000 Egyptian pounds per year.
- Water sports centers: 10,000 Egyptian pounds per year.
