Announcement #13 of 2020
Dear CDWS members,
The CDWS stresses on the requirements and regulations of resuming the tourism activities in Egypt -which was announced by the CDWS on the 19th of June 2020- regarding the resumption of the diving and water sports activities with a valid license from the Ministry of Tourism and the needed health and safety certificate that confirms following the safety and preventive measures of the COVID-19 virus and which was approved by the Council of Ministers.
It is not allowed by any means for any facility (diving centers, water sports centers, or safari boats) with a valid license from the Ministry of Tourism, to resume the business without obtaining the health and safety certificate and without performing the required inspection for it – which is performed by a committee from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the CDWS – this inspection enables the facility to obtain the required health and safety certificate necessary to resume the activity.
Any other health certificate issued from any other party shall not be considered or accepted. Any facility that resumes the activity in violation of the previously mentioned will be subject to have their MOT license annulled/ revoked.
