The CDWS, along with The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Egyptian Tourism Federation (ETF), are constantly working together to enhance the skills and knowledge of the diving sector’s human resources, which will help Egypt to be a more competitive destination with other tourism destinations.
With the aim of enhancing safety and security measures onboard Safari Yachts Tourists enjoy their safari trips, the marine life, and the very special coral reef of the Egyptian Red Sea.
In the efforts to develop the necessary awareness of the safari boat crews (Skipper, deckhand, mechanical, Asst. mechanical, chefs … etc.) who represent a marketing tool for the Egyptian Tourism destination. the CDWS has decided to start implementing specialized training courses to raise awareness of safari boat crews to follow the best practices to preserve the marine environment and to educate them on the correct behaviors and the knowledge to organize their work.
Requirement:
- This course is eligible for the CDWS members only who are licensed by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiques. Registration for this course is done by the Technical Manager in charge or the legal representative of the operation only (the boat crew cannot apply for themselves).
- Targeted categories are Skipper, deckhand, mechanical, Asst. mechanical, chefs … etc.
- The course material is in Arabic language.
Course registration:
- Registration for this course is done via the training courses e-booking service through the Technical Manager in charge or the legal representative of the operation account on the CDWS portal.
Note:
- It takes 2 working days to register the course attendees on the CDWS online system.
- After the completion of the course, the owner, the representative of the owner, or the technical manager has to contact the CDWS membership department to issue the CDWS ID cards for their crew members with a fee of 125 EGP per participant.
- The annual renewal fee for the CDWS ID cards for the safari boat crew is 125 EGP per member.
- The CDWS, the MOT, and the relevant security authorities shall not allow any boat to sail without confirming that all the crew members have their CDWS ID cards.
Instruction:
- The course is done in one day in a duration of 4 hours.
- The fee for the training program is 300 EGP per person, to be paid online, through the technical manager's or legal representative's account on the CDWS portal.
Rules And Reg.:
- Please show up 45 minutes before the start of the session to confirm your registration with your national ID card.
- In case of a no-show after the applicant’s course registration, the course will be considered as the applicant's first course, and in case he/she would like to attend the next scheduled course, new registration and new course fee should be done, and paid prior to attending the next course.
- In case the applicants do not wish to participate in the training program for any reason, they should report to the training department at least 48 hours before the beginning of training so the fees can be refunded or moved over to another date, if they fail to report within this time frame there will be no refund for the training fees.
- Course attendance will be canceled for applicants who are not punctual.
- No mobile phones are allowed during the training, please put it on silent mode and hand it to the lecturer
- The lecturer has the right to cancel the applicant's participation in the course in case of not comply with the lecturer’s instructions
- It is not allowed to leave the training venue for any reason
- No Smoking allowed inside the training room
- No food or drinks are allowed inside the training room during the course except for water.
- Not adhering to the course rules and regulations will lead to the applicant's course cancelation, therefore, no card will be issued for the applicant to allow them to work onboard safari yachts.
- For both South Sinai and Red Sea Governorates, the course will take place in the operations lodging.
