22 يونيو, 2010

CDWS members within the Naama Bay area of Sharm el Sheikh are being asked to participate in an underwater clean-up initiative during week 28 June to 5 July. The week clean-up underwater by centres with access to the water in Naama Bay area, follows a series of environmental schemes launched by the Marriot hotel chain in April.

In a bid to raise environmental awareness, during the month of April the Marriott Resort in Naama Bay, Sharm el Sheikh, organised a series of environmental talks led by South Sinai Protectorates. The sessions were aimed at Sharm hotel management and employees and focused on good environmental practices that help keep the Red Sea green.

The Marriott also organised a beach clean-up during the month of May.

If you intend to take part to this initiative, please let us know and also, after the event, please submit your pictures and the clean-up data sheet to [email protected] and to [email protected].

Your pictures will be published on the Marriott website and on different press releases across Egypt.

An evening to celebrate the Naama Go Green Week will be held on the 5 of July at the Camel Bar Roof at 8.00pm. The participants will be presented with a certificate from the Marriott Hotel for their efforts and support.

Let's keep the Red Sea green!
