The Basics of Food Safety and Hygiene

Reference to the ministerial decree no. 295, issued on the 22nd of November 2021 and in cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Egyptian Tourism Federation (ETF), and the Chamber of Diving and Water Sports to improve the quality of the service in the sector, a new training program has been launched under the title of “The basics of food safety and hygiene” for the safari boat crew.  

This training program is part of a national project adopted by the MOTA titled “For safe tourism”, which is planned to start on December 2021 for four months.  

  • The course is delivered in the Arabic language.  
  • The training material of the program is designed over the course of two days. 
  • Applications are submitted in the first week of each month to be included in the training course of the following month.  
  • Training duration is two days, a total of 16 hours including breaks.  
  • The trainee must score 80% in the final exam in order to pass the course successfully 
  • Registration priority goes to the employees with no previous training in the field of food safety.  

The participants shall receive a certificate after completing the course and passing the test successfully
